A Good White Sauce

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

A  good white sauce is as rare as a real American and a bad white sauce is as common as an Obama voter.

In that, I had to come up with something tonight for spaghetti, as it was linguini and all of my homemade spaghetti sauce was down to half a cup for 3 people.

So this is the Lame Cherry exclusive White Sauce.


3 cups whole milk
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried celery
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 tablespoon Spin Blend Mayo

Heat to hot, and then whisk in 3 tablespoons flour until thickened

This recipe reminds me a great deal of the canned goat milk I utilized in a linguini and clam sauce. The point is, this sauce will combine with clams, shrimp, chicken .........I think that browned white chicken breast nuggets would be very good in this. Bacon might show up too.

Versatile sauces are necessary, as you need a base for things, and that includes this would do very well with mixed vegetables or just quick frozen peas.

I think it would work ok with shit on a shingle or rice if necessary. It has the octane that it benefits from unsalted pasta to even things out.

I see that Jimmy Dean and Paul Bunyan have their own products.......although both are dead.............yeah and the one is Paul Newman, but who cares. I think that I should too of course. Oh and a hint, in some sauces or even cakes, mayo showing up is a flavor which is delightful.

So anyway that is the Lame Cherry White Sauce which is better than anything else out there, as most just taste like.......flour paste and milk with some bay to make you think you are sucking on the cardboard of a bay leaf box.
